Abstract:
The key element of pre-wound ballistics, which is of particular interest to forensic experts and criminologists, remains the residual components of the shot, represented by small spheroids. And although classically the greatest attention is paid to the so-called «forensic ballistics whales» such as stibium, lead and barium, the very ratio and presence of other trace elements plays an important role in the ability to identify fi rearms and other circumstances that may be of interest to the police.
