dc.description.abstract Family members of a mentally ill person have to deal with reality, which is being constantly changed by the dynamics of patient`s mental disorder. Family burden associated with living with patient who has been diagnosed with endogenous mental disorder, as well as necessity for providing care for the patient, inevitably lead to psychosocial stress and emotional overstrain, which, according to the principle of feedback, negatively affects condition of the patient. Family members of patients with endogenous mental disorders (schizophrenia, affective disorders), face challenging family situation, that demands maximum personality adaptation resources and resilience in order to reach successful coping of the family and resocialization of the patient. en
