dc.description.abstract | Background and aim: health-care associated infections (HCAIs) significantly impair the quality and efficiency of medical care. Medical equipment’s parts, which directly contact the patient’s body, are contaminated with hospital strains and the patient’s and medical staff’s opportunistic microbiome and serve as fomites in the spreading of potential pathogens. Therefore, effective disinfection of medical equipment is one of the ways to decrease risks and the incidence of healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs). The susceptibility of hospital isolates to germicides, provided in medical practice, should be monitored for effective control of hospital infections. The aim of the research was to study the susceptibility to biocides with different chemical structures against multi-resistant clinical isolates’ from hospital environment. | en |
