Abstract

Modern orthodontics actively investigates the relationship between craniofacial parameters and morphometric characteristics of the dentition. Particular attention is paid to the search for patterns between the bone landmarks of the skull, the shape of the jaws and the features of the dental apparatus in individuals with harmonious facial features. Such studies are impor- tant for improving diagnostics, predicting the growth of the maxillofacial region and planning individualized orthodontic treatment. the aim of the study is to establish the features of correlations between teleradiometric indicators according to the tweed method with the sizes of teeth and dental arches in ukrainian young men and young women with physiological occlusion with a wide face type. A morphometric study of teleradiometric indicators according to the tweed method, computed tomography dimensions of teeth and dental arches of 25 ukrainian young men and young women with physiological occlusion with a wide face type accord- Ing to garson, which were obtained from the data bank of the department of pediatric dentistry and the research center of the National pirogov memorial medical university, vinnytsya, was conducted. The assessment of correlations between teleradiometric Indicators according to the tweed method and computed tomography dimensions of teeth and dental arches was carried out in the licensed package “statistica 6.0” using non-parametric spearman statistics.
