dc.description.abstract A single-center open-label study in parallel groups was conducted. The study included 50 patients with AH who had previously received antihypertensive therapy but did not achieve areduction in BP according to DBPM. Twelve-week antihypertensive telmisartan-based therapy led to a de-crease in mean systolic blood pressure (SBP) (p= 0.008), and a decrease in mean diastolic blood pressure (DBP) (p<0.001). There was a decrease in the index of variability of DBP from (p<0.001), and a decrease in the daily index of SBP from (p=0.014). uk_UA
